For Faculty

AI designs your CO/PO frameworks. You focus on teaching — and everything beyond it.

Udgam reduces your OBE workload by 70%. What you do with that time is entirely up to you.

  • 70% less paperwork
  • AICTE-recognised FDP tracks
  • ₹2.26L conservative first-year income

The workload problem, honestly stated

You teach. You research. You serve on committees.

And somewhere in between all of that, you are expected to design CO/PO matrices, generate Bloom’s-aligned question banks, calculate attainment percentages, and compile accreditation evidence — manually, in Excel, every semester.

Udgam was built to make that problem disappear.

What AI does, what you do

The judgement stays yours. The clerical work does not.

This is the entire division of labour. Nothing on the right-hand column is work only you can do; nothing on the left-hand column affects an official record without your approval.

The income question, answered directly

Can Udgam actually change my income?

Here is a conservative first-year projection for an active faculty member. Every figure has a mechanism behind it — we do not claim it is guaranteed, we show you how it is possible.
ActivityAssumptionAmount
Guest lectures4 sessions at ₹15,000 average₹60,000
MSME advisory1 engagement at ₹20,000/month for 6 months₹1,20,000
Content licensing3 frameworks adopted by other institutions₹6,000
FDP delivery1 programme delivered₹40,000
Conservative supplemental incomeAbove your existing salary₹2,26,000

Why we show the arithmetic

Faculty have heard promises about supplemental income before, from platforms with no mechanism behind them. So rather than quote a number, we show the four activities, the assumed volume, and the rate — and every one of those activities has a page on this site explaining exactly how it is transacted, escrowed and paid.

If you think any of these assumptions is optimistic for your domain, halve it. The argument still holds.

Your industry-facing profile

Industry finds you. You don't have to find them.

Nothing on it is self-declared. Everything is derived from what you teach, what your students achieve, and what you have delivered.

Your domains

Derived from the courses you teach and the development tracks you have completed — not from a biography you wrote about yourself.

Your teaching outcomes

How your students perform over time, shown as a direction rather than a raw score. Optional to display publicly, and never used for appraisal.

Your industry engagements

Every lecture, advisory role and training programme delivered, with the organisation's rating and attendee satisfaction attached.

What you're available for

You choose which kinds of engagement you accept and how many hours a month. Requests arrive filtered to what you said yes to.

Being straight with you

Three things this does not do.

It does not remove your judgement

AI drafts. You approve. Nothing reaches an official record without a human decision, and your head of department holds the gate on anything that affects attainment.

It does not guarantee income

The marketplace creates the channel. Whether a company engages you depends on your domain, your availability and your rating — the same as any professional marketplace.

It is not zero effort

You will still review course outcomes, map questions and approve rubrics. The target is under twenty minutes per course per semester — not zero.

Faculty are not unpaid labour for institutions. Every design decision has to answer: what does this specific stakeholder get in return?

For faculty

The things people actually ask.

How much of my time does this actually take per semester?

The target is under twenty minutes per course, per semester — including marks import and review. AI drafts the course outcomes, the CO–PO matrix, question banks and rubrics; you correct and approve. If it takes materially longer than that in practice, the product has failed at the thing it was built to do.

Won't AI-generated course outcomes be generic?

They are generated from your own uploaded syllabus, and every drafted outcome is shown beside the exact syllabus line that produced it — so you can check in seconds whether a draft actually follows from your material. Try the demo on the faculty pages. Nothing is activated until you approve it and your HOD signs off.

Does AI decide anything that affects an official record?

No. AI is a first-draft engine and authority stays human at every gate. Course outcomes need your approval; the CO–PO matrix needs your head of department's; attainment is calculated from marks you entered against questions you mapped. Every change is versioned with an editor and a reason.

Is the supplemental income realistic, or a sales figure?

It is a calculation you can check, and every line has a page on this site explaining how it is transacted, escrowed and paid. Four guest lectures at ₹15,000, one MSME advisory at ₹20,000 a month for six months, three framework adoptions and one FDP delivery comes to ₹2.26 lakh. We do not claim it is guaranteed — the marketplace creates the channel, and whether a company engages you depends on your domain and availability.

What happens to my profile if I change institution?

It moves with you. Your expertise profile, engagement history, ratings, published content and the income it generates are yours. Your institution owns its programme data; you own your professional record. That is the specific thing being fixed — faculty have never had a portable professional reputation because every record of their work lived in a system they left behind.

Will my institution use the effectiveness score against me?

It is not built for that. Publicly it shows only a direction — rising, stable, building — never a raw number. Internally it is visible to your institution admin for support decisions, explicitly not for appraisal. A metric that becomes an appraisal instrument stops measuring teaching and starts measuring compliance.
