Every submission is scored on a rubric

Not a gut call from a panel. AI drafts a judging rubric from your problem statement, mapped to specific cognitive levels; you modify it before it goes to judges. Every criterion produces a comparable score.

Each judge scores independently. The platform computes inter-judge variance and flags where they diverged significantly — so a genuinely strong entry never gets lost to one harsh reviewer.

Every entrant stays reachable

After results, every participant remains on the platform with their submission attached to their profile. You can watchlist any of them and follow their development for the next three years.

Setting one up

A form, a review, and a microsite.

  1. Write the problem statement

    Free text or a structured template. Add theme tags, target participant profile, team size, duration, mode and prizes.
  2. Confirm the competency mapping

    The platform reads your problem statement and suggests which outcomes and cognitive levels it exercises. You confirm or adjust — this is what makes faculty willing to award academic credit for it.
  3. Review the judging rubric

    Generated from the problem statement and the mapped outcomes. Modify criteria and weights until it reflects what you actually care about.
  4. Udgam reviews the listing

    Within 24 to 48 hours we check that the problem is specific rather than IP-extractive, prizes are stated without hidden conditions, and judging criteria are defined.
  5. The microsite goes live

    Branded, with the timeline, prizes, team registration, submission portal and a leaderboard for the judging phase. No separate build.

Escrow

Prizes students can trust

Where a prize pool exceeds ₹50,000, the platform holds the amount in escrow before the event begins and releases it to winners within 14 days of results. Students have been burned by unpaid hackathon prizes often enough that this materially affects who enters.
